CogniFit ADHD is an App designed to help screen cognitive impairment related to Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity (ADD/ADHD), and to help train, through clinical exercises, the cognitive skills affected by this disorder in children and adults. This medical app is accessible and very easy to use. CogniFit has become a reference tool in helping diagnose and intervene in neurodevelopmental disorders. This neuropsychological assessment and brain ADHD exercises have been designed by an international team of neuropsychologists and clinical psychologists.
In this App, you will find:
1- ADD & ADHD TEST: Neuropsychological assessment to help evaluate the risk index of ADD or ADHD. The Cognitive Assessment Battery for ADD/ADHD (CAB-ADHD) is a professional leading tool that uses clinical tests and validated tasks, designed to quickly and accurately evaluate the presence of symptoms, traits, or dysfunctions within the cognitive processes affected by Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity. This innovative ADHD test makes it possible to take a complete cognitive screening, understand the user's cognitive strengths and weaknesses, evaluate the risk index for ADHD, and see the subtype: Inattentive (ADD) or hyperactive-impulsive predominance (ADHD). This test is appropriate for kids 7 and older, teens, and adults. Any individual or professional can easily use this neuropsychological assessment. The results of the assessment will be available for download after completing the test, which usually lasts about 30-40 minutes. Note that CogniFit does not directly offer a medical diagnosis of ADD/ADHD. Indeed, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or Attention Deficit Disorder requires a multidisciplinary assessment and exhaustive differential diagnosis in order to discard inappropriate symptomology that may be better explained by a different mood disorder, learning disorder, or other condition. Clinical history and assessing different areas, especially neuropsychology, are still the most effective tools to detect and diagnose ADD or ADHD. CogniFit recommends using this test as a complementary tool and never as a replacement for a clinical consultation.
2- ACTIVITIES, EXERCISES, AND BRAIN GAMES TO HELP TREAT ADD & ADHD SYMPTOMS: CogniFit exercises and clinical games are designed to help strengthen the prefrontal cortex of the brain and improve executive functions (attention, behavior, planning, etc.). Training with these exercises and brain games can help children and adults correct their mistakes, enhance their attention and concentration, understand an action, control their impulses, and realize their mistakes. Note that CogniFit does not treat ADD/ADHD but can help improve cognitive skills affected by the disorder.
